What we do Our Mission

Our mission is to create a better future for children and families, provide an oasis of love, compassion and education for disadvantaged Cambodian children of all ages and make a positive and sustainable contribution to the community.

Goals and Objectives
  • S.A.C.V's main goal is to provide a safe and nourishing environment for the children, including education and health, so that these children can grow up to be responsible adults with qualifications and skills that will enable them to become valuable and productive members of their community.
  • To collect and choose poor, homeless, orphans and other children whose parents are HIV positive in the rural areas, to support and boost them to complete their studies at primary school and in higher education.
  • To keep the projects directly focused on helping children and families.
  • To create a community of caring, committed and informed donors, that are directly involved in improving the lives of children and families.
  • To stay flexible and open to the needs of children, families and communities and develop projects based on the assessment of needs.

We believe that the best way to assist children and families is to work in direct cooperation with individuals and communities by assessing the needs and providing support to ease the pain of poverty and to create sustainable futures for children and families.

We firmly believe that education is the key to reducing poverty. As Kim is a professional high school teacher of English and Khmer literature, providing a good education for each of the children is a priority for S.A.C.V. We have chosen to invest in our children's education, whom we consider to be Cambodia's future.

S.A.C.V is committed to expanding the extremely poor children's opportunities. We provide adequate study supplies for children's basic needs such as school uniforms, bicycles, shoes, school bags, books, pens, first aid kits, daily nutrition food and other essentials.

Although millions of tourists visit the amazing tourist destinations around the temples of Angkor, Siem Reap is one of the most poverty-stricken areas in Cambodia. Tourism is now the major source of employment for the Khmer people in Siem Reap and so a good knowledge of English as well as competency in the use of a computer are essential skills. We know that with a good general education, computer and English language skills, our children will make a difference to both their own and Cambodia's future.
